1) What is JobsCentral all about?

JobsCentral is a site where jobseekers can create résumés, search and apply for jobs, learn about the employment market, and even learn about their own personality. Our services are entirely free for jobseekers.

We offer employers a platform to reach out to hundreds of thousands of jobseekers in Malaysia. Services to employers include our free basic job postings, paid premium postings, database mining, branding microsites, direct emailer campaigns, and more. Our purpose is to help you recruit and brand better.

2) What sets JobsCentral apart from the crowd?

Jobscentral.com.my is easy to use and access, and reaches out to a wide audience through a different marketing strategy. It provides jobseekers and employers an alternative to the existing job portals around.

3) How does JobsCentral market itself?

JobsCentral proactively and aggressively employs a variety of channels to reach out to jobseekers and ensures that your jobs receive the exposure they deserve. As a start, we market ourselves extensively through online media (Google and Yahoo) and on social networking sites (Facebook).

4) How can I/my company register with JobsCentral as an Employer?

Click here to register as an employer with JobsCentral. All businesses registered as employers on JobsCentral must have a valid Business Registration No. under the Registrar of Companies Malaysia.

After you have submitted the online form, a pop-up with more instructions will appear. Do add www.jobscentral.com.my to your pop-up blocker's list of permitted websites to view these instructions.

As soon as your company's account has been registered, an email containing login information will be sent to the email address provided in the application.

You may proceed to post your job details on the portal. However, for these jobs to be activated, kindly fax the following information using your organisation's letterhead to +603 8938 2323

  • Company registration no.
  • Requestor's name
  • Email address registered

Your job details will be activated within 3 working days upon receiving the required faxed information. There will be delays if the information received is incomplete or incorrect.

Things to note:

  • Each company is entitled to one account for posting free job advertisements. Subsequent accounts created by the same company can only be used to post paid job listings.
  • A reminder email will be sent to companies with accounts that have not been activated within 30 days after registration. To activate your account, you need to send us a fax complete with the details mentioned above. Your account and any related registration information will be deleted from the system if we do not receive your verification fax within 14 days after the reminder email was sent.
  • JobsCentral reserves the right to suspend or delete company accounts without notice.

5) How do I create job advertisements?

Only employers with an active and registered JobsCentral account are permitted to post job advertisements on the portal.

Follow these five simple steps to put up a job advertisement:

  1. Log in to your account using your email address and assigned password.
  2. Click on My Job Ads in the JobsCentral Employers' Module.
  3. Create a job advertisement by clicking either

  4. Complete the online form provided, ensuring that fields marked with an asterisk (*) are filled. Premium account holders can proceed to specify applicant filtering criteria. Other services such as redirection to corporate websites are also provided to Premium account holders.      to check your job advertisement before it goes "live". Click Submit to post the ad on JobsCentral. Job advertisement forms must be completed and submitted within 30 minutes, after which your application is considered inactive, and your job posting will not be submitted.

Once activated, all applications for the job will be sent to the email address specified in your job advertisement.

6) Can I deactivate a job advertisement or re-post a job?

To deactivate a job advertisement that's currently posted, log in to your employer account and click on My Job Ads. Select the advertisement you would like to remove and click on Edit Job, which will take you to the job posting form. Scroll down to Status, and select Inactive/Draft to hide your listing. To reactivate the advertisement before its expiry date, simply change the status to Active.

All job advertisements will expire 30 days after posting. Expired job advertisements cannot be re-posted. To continue listing the same job opening, you will need to create a new job advertisement using the procedure detailed in Question 4.

Basic and Premium job advertisements will be deleted from the system one month and three months after expiry respectively. You are advised to process job applications within the relevant timeframe, as applications and candidate details will be deleted along with the job advertisement.

7) What's the difference between Basic accounts and Premium accounts?

Premium job advertisements typically generate 6 to 10 times better application rates compared to Basic listings. A variety of Premium account packages are available to fit your organisation's needs. JobsCentral also provides data mining services to improve your recruitment process (available from 1 Jan 2011).

8) I have bought a Premium account. How soon will my Premium job advertisement be posted?

Your job will be posted on the same working day on which you send us your job description (in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, or Adobe PDF formats), as long as you do so before 2pm and are able to approve the draft in time.

9) What are student jobs?

Student jobs consist of internships, part-time and vacation jobs, as well as temporary or ad-hoc assignments that specifically target students. These jobs are not meant to replace existing school internship programmes and other work attachment modules. Rather, they complement traditional channels while providing an avenue for employers and students to learn about one another.

There is no charge levied on employers to post student jobs. As with other JobsCentral job listings, it is also free for students to respond and apply to these job advertisements.
